Give Away Program Distributes 50 Ceramic Filters in Villages Banceuy, Sub-District Ciater, District Subang, West Java

In order to support government programs in terms of Community Led Total Sanitation and Home Drinking Water Treatment,  Perkumpulan Pelita Indonesia distributed free ceramic filters to 50 underprivileged homes in Dusun Banceuy, District Ciater, Subang, West Java on Monday, June, 4th, 2013.

This event was sponsored by Mr. Mark Whitaker, Mr. Troy Warren & Mr. Lonnie Atwood, who came from United States. They personally supported the program 1 Filter for 1 Family, which is one program offered by Perkumpulan Pelita Indonesia, to help underprivileged communities in the management of drinking water by distributing ceramic filters to assist communities in obtaining healthy and hygienic drinking water.

The event was attended by the head of the village, a representative from District Ciater, Kesling Palasari, local village authorities, representative of the sponsors and the community. To open the event, there was a traditional music performance. In delivering his speech, the head of the Banceuy village said that his hope is not that just some of its citizens get free ceramic filters, but hopefully in the future the whole community could receive the benefits from the ceramic filters.
